The Challenge
Trade Insulations planned to sell insulation products online. They informed us that their products came in a variety of sizes and specifications. Trade Insulations needed a website that was able to offer bulk discounts as well as a request a quote feature. It needed to be easy to use and better than their competitions.
The Solution
Through careful planning and consultation, we were able to create a solution for Trade Insulations. We built their Ecommerce website using WooCommerce. WooCommerce is a popular E-Commerce platform, which bolts onto WordPress.
We learned early on in the project that insulation products held a lot of data. We discovered that each product held properties such as thickness, material, length, width and application type. We identified that these properties could be added as attributes to be filterable by the end-user. Making the options filterable would improve the ease of use for the user and therefore drive conversions.
By using WooCommerce, we were able to carefully import product data and attributes from a spreadsheet. We were also able to create tier pricing rules and bulk buying price rules. This allowed Trade Insulations to have a competitive edge over existing rivals.
The finished product included a request for a quote feature as well as a wishlist. The design decisions were influenced by our collected data.
Trade Insulations requested us to host their website and emails and also benefit from our ongoing support. They were very happy with the finished product and continue to thrive online.
